Pricing drift detection

We monitor provider price changes and alert you the moment they happen.

LLM provider prices change. Sometimes by announcement, sometimes quietly. HiWay records the observed per-token cost of every request and compares it against a baseline for each model. If the deviation crosses 5%, we log it; if it crosses 10%, we alert.

Where to find drift events

Open Dashboard → Budget. Scroll to the *Provider pricing drift* section. You'll see every model that ever drifted from its baseline, with the old price, the observed price, the percentage change, and the timestamp.

Your spending does not change silently

Since HiWay passes through provider cost at zero markup, any price increase from a provider is immediately visible in your per-request cost. Drift detection is how you find out *before* you see an unexpected spike on your monthly invoice.

How the baseline is set

The first observed cost for a model becomes its baseline, sourced from the provider's official pricing page. Thereafter, only significant deviations are logged, so the table stays readable.
